This module is for Algebra 1, Grades 7-12 Welcome

Choosing the right model to represent a mathematics situation will help you analyze and understand problems better. Being able to manipulate the structure of a mathematics equation and rewrite it in an easier form is critical when solving problems. When you have the best model in the most appropriate and simplest representation for solving a specific problem, you will discover that mathematics problems really are not “problems” at all!

In this module, you will learn how to rewrite a quadratic equation in a simpler form when solving for the vertex and the zeros of a quadratic function.

Module Objective

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Solve quadratic equations using the method of completing the square.
