Integers:
Numbers with no fractional parts. The set of integers includes the natural numbers, zero and the negative counting numbers: … negative4, negative3, negative2, negative1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, …
Irrational Numbers:
A real number that cannot be written as a simple fraction. In other words, it is a decimal that goes on forever without repeating. They are numbers that cannot be represented as terminating or repeating decimals.
Natural Numbers:
The counting, or whole, numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …
Number Systems:
Classification, naming and representing sets of numbers.
Product:
The solution to a multiplication problem.
Rational Numbers:
Any number that can be made by dividing one integer by another. A rational number is a number that can be written in the form a divided by b, where a and b are integers and b≠0b does not equal zero.
Real Numbers:
The set of rational numbers and irrational numbers.
Set:
A collection of objects called elements or members. For example, a set of numbers.
Sum:
The solution to an addition problem.
Whole Numbers:
The set of natural numbers with zero (0) included: 0, 1, 2, 3, …
